Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao, is divided in two sections, Otrobanda and Punda, by our harbour. Walking through Willemstad is like walking through history: a living exposition of architecture.

On December 04, 1997, the World Heritage Committee in its 21^st session in Naples, Italy, elected the 'Historic Area of Willemstad, Inner City and Harbour' to the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

With this collection of pictures we aim to convey a sense of history, development and progress of Curaçao. Where possible we give you a glimpse of the future.
